Tribute Concert to Dmitri Hvorostovsky

On 31 March 2018, the historic stage of the Rudolfinum hosted a memorial concert dedicated to the legacy of Dmitri Hvorostovsky — one of the most distinguished baritones of the modern operatic era.
Renowned for the extraordinary depth and nobility of his voice, Hvorostovsky captivated audiences worldwide. His artistry was recognised with numerous international honours, including the prestigious Opera News Awards, celebrating outstanding contributions to opera. His repertoire ranged from Russian folk songs and sacred music to baroque arias and the great works of the Romantic tradition.
Following his passing in London on 22 November 2017, this concert became a tribute to his enduring artistic legacy.
The evening brought together distinguished performers:
Ladislav Bubnár, finalist of The Voice 6;
Vladimir Chernov, Honoured Artist of the RSFSR and internationally acclaimed interpreter of bel canto and Verdi repertoire;
Marie Fajtová, leading Czech soprano and soloist of the National Theatre Prague.
